1. Matthew 3:8- This verse really should shake you  with everything that it really holds.  Most of us think that our christian walk is not based on what we do, but how does that reflect with verse?  Also my bible connects this verse with Acts 26:20.  I think this verse has challenged me alot.
2. The Holy Spirit Lead Jesus to the desert to be tempted.  Wow.  Really why did Jesus need to be tempted, also does the spirit still do this today?  I think so and that also scares me because I all to often rebuke temptation, but need to realize that sometimes I could be tempted to shape me to handle more in my life.

As I started reading it was hard as you start right away with the genealogies leading to the birth of Christ.  Two cool things I saw in chapter 1 and 2 are;

1. Rahab:  She was a prostitute in Jericho that saved some spies and was spared in the destruction of Jericho.  From that she ends up being in the line of people leading up to Christ. WOW
2. Joseph was awesome:  A lot of people look at Mary and lift her up and I think she was awesome but man look at Joseph.  He knew God in such a way that the angel lead him a lot to make sure Jesus was ok.  And also the way Joseph lead his family also fulfilled many prophecies.
