F.A.Q.’s
Q: WHAT IS ECHO STUDENT MINISTRIES?
A: ECHO is the local student ministry of First Assembly of God, Rapid City, SD. For more info check out their website HERE.
Q: WHAT HAPPENS AT ECHO?
A: Designed to be a safe place for you to come and enjoy the very best worship services and time to hang out with your friends – and meet some new ones. It is also designed to have creative services to make the Biblical truths easier to understand.
Q: WHAT TIME DOES ECHO START?
A: Each Wednesday night Echo opens the doors at 6:25 p.m. for the beginning of service. We have a time where we hangout with friends, get a drink from the Cafe. We also have a Pre-Service prayer time that starts at 6:00pm. Echo Closes at 8:00pm.
Q: CAN I SHOW UP LATE OR LEAVE EARLY?
A: Echo service is the most important part of your Echo experience. So we ask that you show up on time and plan on staying until the service is over.
Q: HOW OLD IS “TOO OLD” AND HOW YOUNG IS “TOO YOUNG?”
A: Echo is a place created specifically for teenagers, so you need to be a teenager. If you are not yet in the 6th grade, sorry you’ll have to wait. But don’t worry; we’re not going anywhere, and we are only gonna get better. So relax, we will see you soon! If you’re out of High School, the time has come for us to part ways. Unless, of course, you want to help us serve teenagers each week. If that’s the case stop by our offices and we’ll point you in the right direction. But we also want to encourage you to take part in Quarterlife, a ministry geared for young adults here at First Assembly. They meet Sunday nights at 6:00pm in the chapel. If you would like more information please email Pastor Greg HERE.
Q: CAN PARENTS COME?
A: We have designed Echo to be a place specifically for teenagers, but we want parents to feel welcome to see what their kids are enjoying. We have created an open door policy for parents and you may see some of them wandering around from time to time. So, you had better be on your best behavior just in case the next ones you see are yours!
Q: DO I NEED TO BRING MONEY?
A: The only thing that costs money at Echo is the Cafe. So if your stomach IS talking to you, bring a little bit of money so you can talk back. Otherwise, relax it’s on the house.
